Youth Night Schedule:

6:00-6:15 -- Fellowship Dinner

6:15-6:35 -- Lesson

6:35-7:00 -- Small Groups

7:00-7:30 -- Game

Most nights, youth will be dropped off and picked up in the OAPC church parking lot. Youth can enter the church through our welcome center where they will be greeted by an Adult Leader. Typically, our group is either in the Fellowship Hall or the Youth Room. For our game time, we will either go to the front lawn or stay inside depending on the weather. Our building entrances remained locked throughout the entire program for safety, so please call our Youth Director if you need to access the building at any point after 6:05 PM and before 7:30 PM. 

Our mission at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church is to develop and strengthen the younger generation of faith leaders.

Scripture asks us to….

• “Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray.” Proverbs 22:6 NRSV
• “To tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” Psalms 78:4 NRSV

We want to do this by…

• Providing opportunities to serve God through fellowship with one another.
• Supporting families in passing on the faith to their children.
• Helping youth build lasting relationships with each other, role models, and mentors.
• Creating avenues for participation in corporate worship.
• Providing a safe & loving environment for them to thrive in.
• Offering opportunities for outreach in the local community and beyond.
• Teaching the basics of the Christian faith.

Structure of Youth Ministry

• The governing body of youth ministry is the Faith Formation Committee with guidance and direction proposed from the Youth Ministry Sub-Committee.
