Sunday School is held during the school year from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Adult Sunday School classes take a break during the summer (Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend).
Adult Classes are open to any members or visitors who would like to visit or join at anytime throughout the year.
Adult Sunday School Classes (and room number) include:

•Acts Class (#2207)
This class uses the lectionary based curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit and includes those adults who are interested in a discussion class for biblical awareness in present times. Coordinators: Carol McCann

•Discovery Class (Parlor)
This class helps inquirers and prospective members understand the Presbyterian Church, its history, and how to become a member of OAPC. Contact Kate in the Church Office for more information or to sign up. Upcoming 2019 dates: 9:45 a.m. in the Parlor -- May 5,12 & 19; Nov. 3, 10 & 17; and noon in the Fellowship Hall -- Aug. 11.

•Encountering the Bible (#2211)
Using a variety of methods and sources, this class takes an informative look at scripture in its original context and in modern scholarship, engages in discussion to discover what God's message is in contemporary life, and encourages participants to live out their faith in new ways. This year the class will be working its way through Corinthians, Romans, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. Teacher: Rich West.

•Julian Lake (Chapel)
This class uses the Feasting on the Word Curriculum which connects worship and faith formation, engaging adults in a deeper exploration of biblical texts. Participants' faith will be enhanced when the Scrpitures read and proclaimed in worship are reinforced and expanded during the Sunday school hour. Teachers: Clarkson McDow, and Bob Moss.

•The Watering Hole (Presbyterian Student Center, garden side)
This discussion class focuses on one of the lectionary readings for the week with an emphasis on how it ties into our lives today. What is the lectionary? The Revised Common Lectionary is a 3-year cycle of weekly scripture readings used to varying degrees by the vast majority of mainline Protestant churches in Canada and the US. It is build around the seasons of the Church Year. During most of the year, the readings are a reading from the Hebrew Bible, a Psalm, a reading from the Epistles, and a Gospel reading. Teacher: Dale Mullennix

•Mindfulness and Meditation Class (2209)
We gather, read a quote from a Christian teacher or mystic (like Mother Teresa or Brother Lawrence), meditate together, and discuss. No experience necessary, all are welcome.

* Occasionally we offer a class in the Fellowship Hall on a special topic or with a guest speaker and invite all of our adult Sunday School classes as well as anyone interested in participating.
