Help Our Eagles Fly -- Grocery Assistance for Winthrop Students
As part of our Into the Neighborhood initiative, OAPC is partnering with Winthrop University to help support students with food insecurity. The Assistant Dean of Students, Miranda Knight, indicates that students need non-spoilable items such as Easy Mac, granola bars, soups or anything that can be microwaved, preferably in its own container, and grocery store gift cards. Please leave food items in the container provided in the Welcome Center. Look for the Winthrop gold and garnet pennant. Grocery store gift cards in envelopes labeled “WU College Ministry” may be placed in Lisa Whisenant’s mailbox in the office. Click here for a list of suggested foods.
