Don't miss out on an opportunity to serve our neighbors in need after the recent storms. we encourage anyone 14 and older to participate. A location is still pending. Our outreach efforts include bringing hope and relieving suffering through compassionate service, building partnerships with people in other countries, advocating for justice and peace, and sharing God's unconditional love for all persons. Quilt Ministry

We began our Prayer Quilt Ministry in August of 2014. We have members from other churches in Rock Hill, and welcome anyone who would like to help us sew, turn and press squares, insert crosses or thread quilts. The group is based on the original "PRAYERS AND SQUARES: A Prayer Quilt Ministry" that was started in California. We joined this organization (Chapter 1150) and we use patterns we receive from them. For more information, click here.

In 2019, this group will be expanded to include a Sewing Group. Their first meeting will Jan. 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in room 207. Please bring your sewing machine, scissors, thread (white, black or grey) and a light lunch. We will go over the use of rotary cutters, using a cutting mat, measuring with plastic rulers, etc. The plan for the day is for each person to make a pillow case for Family Promise or yourself. All fabric will be provided. In Feb. the group will learn how to make pillowcase dresses; in March they'll make a soup bowl basket. Each month will build on the skills of the previous month, and then learn to make a quilt. Please contact Martee Patton: mcpatton@comporium.net, or 803-517-1669, if you are interested in learning to sew and quilt with this group.
