Print and complete and return to the Church.
Sunday School is held during the school year from 9:45-10:45am. It varies in the summer with the worship schedule.
Adult Classes are open to any members or visitors who would like to visit or join at anytime throughout the year.
Adult Sunday School Classes (and room number) for 2011-2012 include:
•Acts Class (#2207)
This class uses the lectionary based curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit and includes those adults who are interested in a discussion class for biblical awareness in present times.

•Discovery Class (Parlor)
Over two weeks, this class helps inquirers and prospective members understand the Presbyterian Church, its history, and how to become a member of OAPC. New Classes: Sep. 11 & 18, Oct. 2 & 9, and Nov. 6 & 20.

•Encountering the Bible (#2212)
Want to learn more about how the Bible fits together, its timeline, and authors? This class will cover the big picture of the Old Testament and then the New Testament.
Coordinator: Janice Simpson
•Julian Lake (Chapel)
This class uses the Presbyterian Curriculum: The Present Word. Based on the uniform lesson plan, it covers New Testament material for half a year & then Old Testament for the other half of the year.
Teachers: Marshall Doswell, Donna Hanna, Tom Horton, and Clarkson McDow.

•New Connections (Presbyterian Student Center, Park Avenue side)
Designed for College Students and 20-somethings, this class uses the Seasons of the Spirit materials which correspond to the weekly sermon scriptures.

•Prime Timers (#2209)
A diverse group of married and single adults of a wide spectrum of ages makes up Prime Time. The focus of study is biblical, family, and social issues of today. Coordinator: TBA
•Round Table (#2211)
This rotating leadership class has an emphasis on studying scripture and spiritual practices to strengthen and deepen their faith.

•The Watering Hole (Presbyterian Student Center, garden side)
All are invited to join this group for a variety of topical faith-based studies.
Coordinators: Sally Herlong, Mary Kathryn Black, & Jason Sutton
* Occasionally we offer a class in the fellowship hall on a special topic or with a guest speaker and invite all of our adult Sunday School classes as well as anyone interested in participating.
Together on Wednesdays (TOW)
Food, Faith, Fellowship and Music on Wednesdays evenings for adults, youth and children.

Other Studies
Book Club
- Book clubs are planned as a particularly relevant book hits the market and in conjunction with certain worship series.
Disciple
- Disciple Bible Study is 34 weeks long and offered in the Fall with registration in August. These courses are in-depth biblical studies that meet weekly for 2 hours and include daily readings, prayer, and questions for consideration. It is designed to stretch the participant in their understanding and application of scripture.
- Short-Term Disciple is 13-14 weeks long and offered periodically in the Fall and Winter- These courses are in-depth biblical studies that meet weekly for 1.5 hours and include daily readings, prayer, and questions for consideration. It is designed to stretch the participant in their understanding and application of scripture.
Lenten Studies
- Each year a four to six week series is offered for adults, that coincides with the Lenten theme of the church. Offerings have varied from prayer groups, to book studies, to small groups. Each is designed to help us prepare for the coming of Easter.
Movie Group
- In the summer we have chosen a few movies to watch and discuss in light of our faith perspective.
Presbyterian Women (PW) 2011-2012 
If you are a woman attending this church (visitor or member), then you are encouraged to be a part of Presbyterian Women. Along with our monthly circle meetings, we have three general gatherings per year.

- VBS is an all-church event at OAPC! So we have three to four options for adults to choose from. They usually include a work project, a biblical or book study, a craft class, and/or Traveling VBS (taking VBS to shut-ins).
Vacation Bible School
Service and Fellowship
In addition to classes, the Adult Ministry Team also plans the following:
- Knit Together- a knitting group that meets monthly at church to knit together and to teach new members how to knit. The main project for the group are Prayer Shawls distributed to those experiencing crisis or illness in their lives. Contacts: Janet Duffy & Barbara Kurz
- UGG (Using God's Gifts)- a knitting group that focuses on creating items for helping agencies in Rock Hill.
- Whist Parties- these fun evenings are based around an easy-to-learn card game that gets everyone mixing and mingling. Watch the newsletter and lobby for the next gathering.
- Friendship Fellowship- a monthly luncheon and program for our retired members of the church and community. It includes entertaining and informative guest speakers from our church and the area. Cost is $3/person for the meal. Lunch and program are held on the first Tuesday of the month during the school year, from 11:45am-1:00pm.
